Young Love

I think Emerson already has a boyfriend. His mom and I are taking a lot of good pictures to use at their wedding reception. His name is Josh and he is the sweetest little boy.

Emerson is doing great. She has been gumming Cheerios and likes to have an average of 20 of them in front of her so she can grab fists full. I thought I was spoiled with Avery and looks like I am again. She is such a sweet little girl that loves attention and her sister.

Avery is still cruising through school. Her vocabulary is expanding every day, stringing more and more words together. But above all, she is making us laugh at the things she comes up with. Here she is with eyeballs from her school art project on her eyes.

Introduction

I am going to try and keep this updated every couple of weeks with photos and anything that I feel anyone outside of our 4 walls would care to know. The girls are growing so darn fast and Greg and I are really getting settled into our newest surroundings. It is hard to believe that we bought our house a year ago already. We love the Southern part of Charlotte and can't believe all fo the places we looked at before deciding on this area. Our angels were watching over us during that period. We wouldn't have all of the wonderful friends if any of the other places had worked out. God does work in mysterious ways. It further cements our beliefs that everything happens for a reason.

Avery is almost 2.5 years old. Her vocabulary has picked up tremendously in the past month or two. She is in school 3 mornings a week and loves going. She talks about her classmates, sings songs, and shows me her artwork everyday. She is turning into a really cool chick. She is very laidback, loving, and a happy-go-lucky kind of girl.

Emerson is almost 8 months old. She hasn't popped any teeth yet but expect them to come in any time now. She is enjoying interacting with her sister, whom she absolutely adores (and vice versa). When on the floor, she likes to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. It is fine with me that she isn't very mobile yet. Chasing after two of them won't be fun.

Greg started a new job as a Software Developer Consultant last August and l0ves the new work. He has fully made the transition from Enginnering to Information Technology and is very happy that he did so. He is so in love with his little girls and lights up when he sees them, as do the girls. It is truly wonderful to see the three of them interact. It just warms my heart. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and I thank God every day for each of them.

Oh yeah, and then there is myself. Well, I have been keeping busy with the girls. I have a great group of local moms that I do a lot with. We get together for shopping, Mom's Nights Out, cookie exchanges, wine, coffee, to get away from the kids........It is such an amazing group of women and I am so happy and lucky to have met them all. Most recently we all rang in the new year together. It was a great night. I still work on a lot of projects making things. The last thing I started making are hairbows. More out of necessity than anything. Have you seen my girl's hair? :)
