Since the last time

We have been on vacation, school started for both girls, and Avery has started her Ballet/Tap class and her first season in soccer. Oh, and Avery turned 4!!!!

Needless to say, I have a ton of pics to post and they will come. But I am currently waiting for my laptop cord so I can get back on. I am lost without it.

In honor of the upcoming football season...........

I have changed the colors of the blog. I can't wait for this season. I think it is because of the basement. We have a bar, kegorator, great friends and soon a flatty. We decided rather than our bedroom, the basement clearly needed HD more than the 30 minutes of TV a day we watch upstairs.

Now, all together------C-L-E-M-S-O-N T-I-G-E-RRRRRRRRRRRRR-S, FIGHT TIGERS, FIGHT TIGERS, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.

And don't think I forgot about KKKKKKKKKK SSSSSSSSSSSSS UUUUUUUUUUUU WILDCATS!

Soccer, Ballet, Spiderman, Ariel

This is what Avery has been in to lately. Soccer, Ballet, Spiderman and Ariel. Gotta love a well-rounded enthusiast. She fits into any crowd. She has so many little boyfriends that she was thrilled when we entered the dance studio and it was filled with a sea of pink pigtails and tutus. She looked at me and said "no boys!". Don't get me wrong, she loves her boys but I don't think she ever considered being around only girls. She had a ball at her Bella Ballerina camp and is starting classes this fall. She is also looking forward to her first soccer team, which also starts in the fall. I think she is adorable whether she is wearing slippers or cleats.

Emerson turns 2

We have a tradition of waking the girls up on their birthdays with a cupcake. Emerson wasn't so sure at first........
But then she sees the cupcake, focuses her eyes, and all if forgiven.

Before her party, her boyfriend and Godmother come early to spend some quality time and open presents.

We had our best friends over for a picnic out back and blew up the bounce houses for the kiddos. It was a beautiful day here in North Carolina and we took advantage of it by sitting under the shade trees while the kids ran themselves out. Thanks to everyone who came, we all had a fantastic time. And thanks, Mom and Dad, your help is always appreciated!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, myself and my 13 closest mom friends all headed down to Isle of Palms, SC right outside of Charleston for the weekend. A couple of us stayed Thursday through Sunday while the rest came down on Friday. What a blast we had. I haven't laughed like that in a loooooong time. The house was gorgeous, the weather was great for the most part but the company was more than I could ask for. Now comes the detox.

The Basement

February? Is that really the last time I have been on here? I just don't know where the time goes any more. Between this house, two kids and many hobbies I just don't have any time to finish it all. I look around and see thing after thing that needs accomplished. Updates on the house: the keeping room is done, wallpaper down, walls repaired and painted and new furniture placed. New rocking chairs on the front porch, Avery's room is no longer pink and brown but rather blue and brown. Did I mention her obsession with Spiderman?

But the best part, we are currently (literally) taking off the door jam to make way for our bar that is going into the basement. WOO HOO. We are going for a very 70's lounge area down there. I can't wait. While Greg was gone for the weekend I surprised him by painting the walls so we can't wait to get the bar installed, pictures hung and drinks mixed. Hopefully one day I will have a blog devoted to the new interior rooms! Until then, you will have to accept pictures of my everyday subjects:
