February? Is that really the last time I have been on here? I just don't know where the time goes any more. Between this house, two kids and many hobbies I just don't have any time to finish it all. I look around and see thing after thing that needs accomplished. Updates on the house: the keeping room is done, wallpaper down, walls repaired and painted and new furniture placed. New rocking chairs on the front porch, Avery's room is no longer pink and brown but rather blue and brown. Did I mention her obsession with Spiderman?

But the best part, we are currently (literally) taking off the door jam to make way for our bar that is going into the basement. WOO HOO. We are going for a very 70's lounge area down there. I can't wait. While Greg was gone for the weekend I surprised him by painting the walls so we can't wait to get the bar installed, pictures hung and drinks mixed. Hopefully one day I will have a blog devoted to the new interior rooms! Until then, you will have to accept pictures of my everyday subjects:

Recent pics

Who doesn't love pictures? Here we are over the last couple of months..................

Did you think I got lost?

Well, we moved. Again. I know what you are thinking, Shannon, you guys move on average every other year. While this is probably true, we are finally home. We are here. We found our little slice of heaven. Well, not necessarily small. We are on almost 2 acres with horse barns for neighbors. We LOVED living in town but when we came across this farm house, we had to have it. Of course the interior requires updating but you know Greg and I are up for the challenge. The family room is painted, the girl's playroom is complete and Avery's bedroom is done. Some of the wallpaper (yes, wallpaper) is off in the kitchen but there is still lots to go. As soon as we get this place done, which should be by the time Emerson goes to college, we will be able to rest and enjoy it. At which time we will probably start over. Right, Mom?

Anywho, if I am MIA, it is because I am elbow deep in paint, wallpaper remover or chasing the girls around outside. Did I mention this place comes with a lit sand volleyball court? Yes, it is true.

And I apologize for the picture, I took it from my car when we were first looking at the house.

Annual Halloween party at the Dupler's!

Our annual Halloween party was another great one. We missed Sam and Hudson, but Hudson was sick so they came the next day when he was feeling better. Our dear friends, the Yale's, joined us for the day. We started it off with cookie decorating, and then lunch. The kids played outside, fished, and threw the football around. Then we carved pumpkins and got the kids dressed and ready for Boo in the Zoo. When I put on Emerson's costume, no one got it. So I think I will change it for the big day. Oh well, so much for trying to be unique (first one to guess what she is from the pics below gets a hi five and bottle of wine!). Anyway, the zoo was lots of fun. The weather was perfect, the kids were behaved, and it only took about an hour. And their sacks of candy were huge!!!

Oh, did I mention it was my birthday? No? I wonder why.......................because after 21, who keeps track????? :)

Pumpkin Patch

We made it to the pumpkin patch two weeks ago. The girls had a great time riding on the wagon, petting the animals, sitting on a saddle, picking out their pumpkins and lunch with friends afterwards. It is amazing how hard it is to keep an eye on Avery while chasing Emerson around and trying to keep her from kissing the goats. I swear Emerson is going to be a Vet, she loves animals very much. Oh, and trying to take pictures too. Remind me to go with Greg next time!!!
